Location Manager

Alexandru R Films is looking for a resourceful location manager that can help with finding great locations in and around the Greater London area.

This role is suitable for any professional level, including entry level professionals.

 

You will be responsible for scouting locations and negotiating with stakeholders. You may also be required to assess each location for hazards and fill in a risk assessment. Experience with locations in Greater London and surrounding areas would be beneficial.

Previous experience in the role as well as experience with risk assessments is desirable but not essential. Training can be made available.

You will be supported by and work directly with the Director, First Assistant Director and the Cinematographer. You will also benefit from additional support from the Director when it comes to finding locations and filling in risk assessments.

Good communication skills are desirable. Ideally, you will be resourceful and able to come up with creative ways to get around budget restraints.

You will be solely responsible for the delivery of your commitments on time and subject to pre-established deadlines.

 

Our Ambition

We aim to enter all our productions into as many film festivals as possible. We believe the success of our efforts means getting the film in front of as many people as possible. Having said that, the most important thing for us is the distribution of our films, not any accolades.

 
Compensation

Alexandru R Films will always endeavour to offer fair compensation for the services provided by our teams of collaborators. At the moment, most of our productions are without funding. Each production will clearly indicate what budget is available and what compensation will be available for each role. Please note that funding applications may be ongoing and the status of the application may be pending at time you engage with us. For the avoidance of ambiguity, please assume you will be engaged on an Expenses Only basis unless otherwise stated.

With Funding: PAID
Minimum London Living Wage up to a maximum of £550 per day.

Without Funding: EXPENSES ONLY
Some expenses will be paid.

 
Money Awards

All awards income shall be divided as per your collaboration contract and usually depending on contribution. We aim to make this as fair as possible. All moneys obtained through Awards shall be first subject to deductions of the original costs of production and awards entry fees.

 
Credit

End Credits
An end credit title card will be attached to the film with all production cast and crew named.

Post Credit
Credit will be given in writing under every and any digital depiction of the motion picture, where it is possible to do so. Credit will always be given under each film at www.alexandrur.com.

IMDB credit
A description of our films will be made available on IMDB with the relevant credits given to our teams, subject to our disclaimer.

 
Minimum Compensation

As a minimum, you will have access to mentoring and support from top class talent. Your mentoring will be tailored to you, and can include career development, personal development, personal brand and marketing development, portfolio development and interpersonal development. We will always aim to provide support to all our collaborators but on rare occasions, this may not be possible.

Rights

Alexandru R Films, namely Alexandru R, is the sole custodian of any and all intellectual property rights, with the appropriate credits being given to all collaborators in a fair manner.

 
Disclaimer

Alexandru R Films reserves the right to approve or reject end products if they are deemed unsuitable for public distribution. This will not impact your reference, but it may impact your credit on platforms such as IMDB.

If you are found in breach of your collaboration agreement, you may not receive credit for your work. Mostly, this will apply to extreme cases of gross misconduct or for the failure to deliver on commitments.

We do not do it for the awards. Although we are very grateful for any awards and recognition we will receive for our work, we will likely not promote any such accolades. The most important thing we always keep in mind is the story we tell and its impact on our society and community as a whole.
